Fred

Freddie Kruger Prince

Born May 2007

Fred’s motto: I love the sound of my own voice

Nicknames: Freddie, Boo boo, cujo

Likes: Children, smelling every square inch of the earth, He loves his own voice and loves to bay

Pet-Peeves: The neighborhood gang of feral cats that taunt him, getting his nails cut, sharing with his 4 legged sister

Favorite Toy: Socks..doesnt have to be dirty..just socks

Favorite Walk: Anywhere.. as long as he is walking

Best Tricks: Selective hearing, does dragging tree limbs through the doggie door count?

Fred was rescued from an individual who could no longer take care of him, I had wanted a hound since I was in high school and I knew one day I would have one. I got him when he was about 4 months old, he was very sick and near death when I rescued him.

They say you get the dog you need not the dog you want, im still working on trying to figure out what the hell I did to someone to deserve Fred!! Haha Just Kidding!!

He was named Freddie Kruger because he was mean as hell and would fight Haylie constantly; he was like a pitbull in a bloodhound’s body.

Fred has taken more work than any dog I know or have ever had. He came with major behavior issues and I still work on managing them today – he is my part time job. Fred tests my patience daily but he gives me back more than I could ask for.  He is a dog stuck in a toddler’s body.

**July 16th 2011** Fred had 2 grand mal seizures

**July 19 2011** He was diagnosed with a low thyroid and put on thyroid medication

  1. I’ve always wanted a bloodhound (HA! the list of dogs I’d love to have is endless) I hope Fred’s seizures are under control. Having lived with two seizure dogs, I know how heartbroken and helpless they can leave a person.

  2. Hi! Mango sent me over. Fred is adorable! Mango thought you might be interested in having Fred join our Canine Epilepsy Awareness slideshow video we are producing for November’s Epilepsy Awareness Month to honor our epi-dogs who have/had Epilepsy. Details on our blog or on our FiveSibes: Siberian Husky K9 News & Reviews page. You just have to either Email a photo of Fred to our doghouse at FiveSibes(at)gmail(dot)com (with K9 Epilepsy Slideshow in the subject line) or post his pic to our Facebook wall and give us your state/country and little about how Fred is doing! We hope you’ll join us for this very worthy cause to help bring awareness to pet owners across the globe.
