Back to School for Cats and Small Pets with Petco

Back to School is a time full of shopping for most, from school supplies to clothes for your kids, don’t forget to do some shopping for you cats and small pets for back to school at Petco.  Petco has picked several products for families pets that range from dogs to rabbits.

We were sent several items to review with a back to school theme, we did receive two products that the Hound Girl homestead was not able to use.

For cats there is the Petco Natural Instinct Cyclone Track Cat Toy

I don’t know much about cats since Haylie is not cat friendly but I do have a neighbor who has two cats that he loves very much, they act like dogs and crack me up.  These cats will let out a”bark” as I call it when they want back in the house and it cracks me up all the time.  They are house cats but he will let them out in the backyard and they have their fun but then are ready to go back inside!  We decided that we would donate this cat toy to him since he was the first person we thought of when we got this.

This has a lighted ball that moves around the track that I am sure would keep any cat busy for hours.  There is a feather attachment at the top that I think would be fun for most cats and would provide great exercise while the kids are away at school.

Now the last small pet that I had was when I was about 10 I had a hamster but in those days all that we had was wood shavings that never seemed to mask any smell or last very long.  I contacted the two closes rescue groups and neither one of them had any pets that could use these, I also called my vet but they wouldn’t use it either.  Then I thought of the perfect person in our family, some of our dear family members have some rabbit – I call them bunnies!  It was amazing the first time I met these bunnies because I never knew how trainable they could be and what interesting pets they were.  I will be donating this bag to our cousin for their bunnies cages.

The bedding is made from cellulose fiber that is free of any chemicals and dye, its actually sanitized to 380 degrees to reduce any fungus or bacteria that could possible grown on the bedding that could harm your pet.  The fun color is also a huge plus to parents I’m sure in order to see about getting kids excited about changing the bedding for their small caged pets, back to school does mean chores right?!
