Hound Girl – A Little Of This and That
Fun never stops at the Hound Girl homestead! We are taking out the double doors and the glass above them and making it a wall! There is a door into the room on the other side, Scott and my father are heading up the project but Haylie has been there every step of the way make sure things are done right! These double doors use to drive me nuts when Fred was around because he figured out really quick to just go up to the door and push it with his nose and the doors would open. He could walk right into the guest room with a nice comfy queen bed calling his name!!! He knew he wasn’t allowed on that bed but every day he would push open the doors and walk around in there and if you were not looking he would sleep on that bed, drove me nuts!
I have two giveaways going on right now so make sure to enter!
Dog collar of your choice from Sweet Keeps click Hound Girl to enter the contest, it ends in 5 days!
Yummy all natural dog treats from Nyima Bakery – click Hound Girl to enter the contest, it ends in 7 days!

Aww. That’s some mischief.
Popcorn will never be able to get on my bed since it’s so tall!
Happy Monday to you! And good luck with the wall project!
Xoxo,
Popcorn, the fluffy toy poodle!
My MOM gave up on the “not on the bed” thing about 87 seconds after I came to live with her. But being the nice Goose that I am I let her sleep there with me every night.
Blessings,
Goose
Looks like Hailey is staying way out of the way for sure. I think it maybe that wicked looking shop vac that is ready to attack. Can’t wait to see the finished product. (Wink Wink). Oh, I loved a Fred story this morning as well. Them bloodhounds I think are very good at opening things. It only took Tabby 7 seconds to learn how to open the fridge.
Have a great day. Sniffs, The HoundDogs and Mom
Love the supervisor!!! And hey – if there is easy access, someone is bound to sleep on the available bed.
Of course she’s supervising. That’s her job! The Knight gets frustrated sometimes when the girls – especially Sissy – insist on watching him cook.
Gosh would you quit pimping the give-a-ways! I’d like to win one of them. Sheesh!
I love that Hailey is supervising. And I know exactly what you mean about going where they aren’t suppose to. The little one (yes the littlest one) knocked the baby gate down this morning and all 3 dogs were in the living room when I got up. Unfortunately – they are all too scared of the gate to go past it to get outside again. UGH. g
pimping the giveaways- ha!
The dogs have their own couch that they are allowed on and they are not allowed on ours. I’m pretty sure Delilah tests those rules when we aren’t home but she has never gotten caught.
So funny that dogs love to supervise!
Love,
Christy
What a great supervisor Haley is!
Lovies, Miss Mindy
You sure make a good snoopervisor
Benny & Lily

Puddles
She’s doing a great job!
Nola
When you’re done remodeling there, you can come work on my house! lol I actually really love my house, but I wouldn’t mind a more modern kitchen and a walk in closet.
I think I already entered the dog treats giveaway. Gonna double check that post and make sure. You’re gonna draw my name for that one, right? lol Keeping my fingers crossed.
I love how she is keeping an eye on things

Sure they have the best supervisor ever!

Ha, ha – my peeps have two king-sized beds in two separate bedrooms. So that if either one of my peeps, usually my dad, is the “last one” on the bed and we’ve beat him to it, he just turns around and heads for the other bed. Kind of reminds me of the two large mirrors we have (48″ x 77″) that used to hide the old washer and dryer. When my peeps replace the washer and dryer with bigger models the doors had to come off. They’ve sat in the garage ever since.
Oh I just dream of having my own bed let alone a guest bed! I think your Fred must have taken up a lot more room than my Fred on a bed.
It’s painfully obvious to me and Mazzie from the photo above that Haylie’s supervision and oversight are the key to every successful project at The Hound Girl Homestead!!!!
Howdy All, lucky Haylie is there to snoopervise. Looks like she is doing a great job. We reckon once the wall is there, you should have a big photo of your Fred on the wall. Hope your week is fine. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Fred was sure a smart one. Awe…miss Fred. I Bet Haylie does a good job supervising.
Um I have a question. If you put up a wall in place of the door, how do the guests get in? BOL! Maybe you are a Winchester descendant (lady who kept building stairs and doors to nowhere)
Hardy har har. Who luvs ya Hound-bob?!!! I DO!
Waggin at ya,
Roo
We have a room in our house that has three doorways, and a visiting architect said it was really just a glorified passageway! So get that door out of action and put that wall up, lol, so it can be a nice private room
Penny loves to sneak into my bedroom and jump on my bed, if I leave my door open when I leave the house. When I arrive home, I’ll hear a thump, pitter-patter, and by the time I’ve unlocked the front door, there she is, innocently lying by the front window. But the warm spot on the covers gives he away every time. (Oh, and the mud, on occasion.)
Really cute photo.
