Pawmetto Pet Treats – Review And Giveaway

Oct 24, 2011 by     44 Comments    Posted under: Giveaways, Review, treats

All-natural pet treats, family ran business, grain free – what is there not to like about those three things?! Let me introduce you to Pawmetto Pet Treats that are made out of one ingredient: raw, freeze dried liver!! What dog doesn’t love LIVER?!

Many of you know that I feed a combination of grain free food and home cooked. We tried the raw food in our house but a certain bloodhound…has resource guarding issues when it comes to eating raw food. Needless to say it’s not an option for us for a meal so I get excited when I can find high quality raw and grain free treats for the dogs instead of having to make treats myself.

The Pawmetto all-natural pet treats come in three different yummy liver flavors. Fred was a huge fan of the simple Freeze-dried beef liver treats. All 3 flavors were a big hit at the Hound Girl Homestead.

I spend a lot of time reading labels on food products for the dogs and verifying information on the pet companies website to ensure that the products that I am giving them is with the standards that I set for my pets. The Pawemetto website clearly stated “website that their treats are sourced from 100% all-natural raw USDA inspected meats. All of our raw meat products are supplied to us by human-grade food suppliers (although our treats ARE NOT suitable for human consumption) and are freeze-dried to remove the moisture, without removing the flavor or nutrients our animals deserve.”

I can tell you personally that each dog gave their 4 paws up for Pawmetto All-natural Pet Treats but more importantly I give it 2 thumbs up as a great company with a great product.

Now for the fun part! Pawmetto has offered one (1) reader the chance to win a free bag of their all-natural pet treats from Pawmetto in the flavor of your choice!

    • Hi this is Sarah from Pawmetto,

It is not from China it is raised in the U.S. We would never want to put any dogs at risk by importing raw meat from China, we believe in giving your dogs the best possible treat. And the treats are sourced from 100% all-natural raw USDA inspected meats. If you have any more questions feel free to email me at sarah@pawmetto.com

hey I saw your comment about bloat at Rescued Insanity(http://rescuedinsanity.com/2011/10/25/tuesday-time-out-37/). Does a raised dish help with bloat? I had actually heard the opposite. I use a raised dish too but wonder if I should get rid of it for my large-chested boys…

  • If Fred says they are good they must be fit for one of our hounds to enjoy. We have done a few of the entries, but some have to wait until our secretary gets home and does it from our own computer. Sniffs, The HoundDogs
